Mana Modality is a place for exploring ideas, building systems, and testing new ventures. The name is inspired by the Hawaiian concept of mana—often understood as a form of influence, potential, or life energy—and reflects the belief that ideas, like people, evolve through experience. Rather than focusing on a single product or organization, Mana Modality provides a flexible space where new concepts can be tested, refined, and allowed to develop naturally. Some projects remain experiments. Others evolve into independent organizations with their own identity and purpose. While the ventures themselves may differ, they share a common philosophy: build simple systems that help people discover opportunities, strengthen connections, and better understand the world around them. One example is My Hometown Hub, a community-based nonprofit exploring new ways to connect students, residents, businesses, schools, libraries, and local organizations through career exploration, community engagement, and relationship building.Another is Beyond Perceptions, a writing project that documents observations about systems, education, leadership, and the iterative process of building ideas that work in the real world.Mana Modality is not intended to be a destination as much as a starting point—a home for ideas that continue to evolve through experimentation, reflection, and collaboration.

Projects

Projects continue to evolve. Some ideas become organizations.Others remain experiments. If you're interested in exploring an idea, collaborating on a project, or simply continuing the conversation, I'd be happy to connect.
